Mermaid Magic - 110206

Here's your chance to have an amazing experience transforming into
a mermaid/merman. You will learn to develop a fluid dolphin kick
motion and propel through the water with grace. Instructors will lead
students in un-tailed drills and skill practice before donning tails,
then repeat drills and skills with tails on through group mermaid/
merman games and imaginative free time. Tails are provided (sizes
6-12).

LEVEL 3 SWIM REQUIREMENTS:
• Float independently on front and back
• Roll from front to back

a water jogging class. Focus on speed or power intervals. This class is

ARC Lifeguarding - 110601

This class is f Lifeguard candidates without their current Lifeguard
certification or whose certification has expired more than 30 days.
This class is a blended learning program requiring time at home
to complete online assignments. Upon successful completion of
the In-Water Pretest (first day), participants will be provided with
the American Red Cross online link to access the online portion.
Participants can expect to spend approximately six to eight hours
to complete the online portion. All online assignments must be
completed prior to the first in-class session. Students successfully
completing the course will receive first aid, CPR/AED for the
Professional Rescuer and American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
REQUIRED PREREQUISITES:
• Swim 300 yards continuously (freestyle and breaststroke)
• Start in the water, swim 20 yards using front crawl or breaststroke,
surface dive 7 to 12 feet, retrieve a 10-pound object, return to the
surface, swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object and
exit the water without using a ladder or steps, all within one minute
and 40 seconds.
• Tread water for one minute with hands above the water level.
• Cannot miss class.
Bring to class: Swimsuit, towel and CPR mask (may be purchased

ARC Lifeguard Review Course - 110604

This class is for candidates who possess a current Lifeguard
certification or whose certification has expired within 30 days of
the start date of class. All participants are required to provide their
current or expired certification card on the first day of class.
The purpose of the Review course is to give individuals the
opportunity to review the course content within a formal class
setting. The responsibility for preparing for the final written exam
is shared by the instructor and the candidate. Candidates should be
prepared to watch videos, review all required skills and be prepared
to take written and physical (in-water) exam.
PRECOURSE SWIM TEST:
• Swim 300 yards continuously (100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke and
100 combination freestyle/breastroke).

Water Safety Instructor Course - 110609

This Red Cross certification will enable instructors to teach the Red Cross Learn to Swim program; including Parent Child Aquatics, Preschool Level 1 - 3, and Levels 1 - 6, and Water Safety presentations. Instructor candidates must successfully complete in-water requirements. Be prepared for a written final exam on class requirements.

Successfully complete the Water Safety Instructor in-water skill session on first day of class.
Attend and successfully participate in all course sessions.
Successfully complete all practice-teaching assignment and other course work
Pass the final written exam with a minimum grade of 80 percent or better (40 correct answers out of 50 questions).
